At the IDEX 20021 Ulbrichts shows its newly developed helmet systems against rifle ammunition. Protection against rifle ammunition is very important because in terroristic attacks and shootings, the attackers most of the time use rifles, not handguns.

ULBRICHTS Protection has developed a face shield* that reduces the risk of coronavirus spreading and infection. The new product offers people from different professions who cannot, or cannot permanently, maintain the necessary safe distance of at least 1.5 metres additional protection against infection from droplets or smears. It can be worn alone or in combination with a mouth-nose mask, depending on the needs or situation. Glasses can also be worn without any hindrance.

From 19.11. until 22.11.2019, experts from ULBRICHTS Protection will present the next generation of ballistic helmets at Milipol in Paris, the leading international trade fair for security technology. The next generation is characterised not only by its superior level of protection, but also its significantly reduced weight.

In mid-September (10 to 13 September 2019) we attended DSEI (Defence & Security Equipment International) in London and presented our helmets at a shared WKO stand. This international trade fair for safety equipment offers our visitors not only detailed discussions but also always the opportunity to get to know our helmets even better. Auf einem Gemeinschaftsstand der WKO haben waren wir in diesem Jahr zu Gast bei der IAA in Frankfurt. Neben Kundengesprächen und Netzwerken durfte auch der Spaß nicht zu kurz kommen. Unsere Konstrukteure durften sich auf der IAA neue Ideen und Technologien ansehen und haben das Abendprogramm genossen. Neben dem Besuch einer typischen „Äppelwoikneipe“ gab es auch die Teilnahme an der Google Night über den Dächern von Frankfurt.

Die Kronen Zeitung Oberösterreich hat uns bei der Ulbrichts GmbH besucht und eine wirklich tolle Geschichte geschrieben.

47 oberösterreichische Firmen haben sich in der Beilage “Industrieland Oberösterreich” in der österreichischen Tageszeitung “Die Presse” vorgestellt. Eine davon ist die Firma Ulbrichts. Wir sind sehr froh und stolz, gemeinsam mit den anderen Firmen aus Oberösterreich einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Standort und zur wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung der Region zu leisten.

Upon invitation by the Trade Union of the Police (GdP), the team from ULBRICHTS Protection is currently in Berlin, where this year’s federal congress of the largest German police trade union is being held over four days. The event this year is under the motto “Live in safety”. It was opened yesterday by the German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the GdP Federal Chairman Oliver Malchow – here in front of our stand in the exhibitor area. We are delighted with the invitation and provide information on site about our contribution to the safety of the police force in Germany: bulletproof titanium helmets for the whole police family.

Protective effect even against Kalashnikovs: ULBRICHTS Protection is supplying the police in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) with ballistic titanium helmets. The state government in NRW’s capital Dusseldorf wanted to ensure that the emergency services enjoyed the highest level of security and made a choice for the helmet which offers the maximum ballistic protection on the market.

No safety net or false bottom: at the 10th Special Forces Workshop in Güstrow (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany), we tested the world’s lightest VPAM-6 helmet.

ULBRICHTS Protection demonstrated a new level of protection with ballistic helmets in a live shooting test at the X Special Forces Workshop in Güstrow. The lightest VPAM-6 head protection provides effective protection against the most vulnerable frontal head and face area with residual energy values of under 25 joules – even against very powerful iron core ammunition.

Now it is official: Nordrhein-Westfalen has decided on the newly developed VPAM-6 head protection from ULBRICHTS Protection. Germany’s most populous federal state is acquiring the HOPLIT F 1100H with a modular FORTIS front shield and visor. The titanium-aramid helmet, in combination with the front shield, provides effective protection against Kalashnikov shots. The Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) presented the future helmet of the patrol officers in NRW last weekend in discussion with the BILD newspaper.

The team from ULBRICHTS Protection is attending the international trade fair for defence and security Eurosatory in Paris this week. The best head protection worldwide against bullet shots. We are presenting our ballistic titanium helmets this year at the shared stand of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber WKO (Hall 5A stand G388) as well as at the stand of our French sales partner UNITIVE (Hall 6 stand K48). The focus of attention: the first effective head protection worldwide against Kalashnikov shots, a HOPLIT F titanium-aramid helmet with the new “FORTIS” front shield.

The Austrian specialist helmet manufacturer ULBRICHTS Protection will be represented twice at the Eurosatory international trade fair in Paris. From 11.06. until 15.06.2018, the European market leader for bulletproof titanium helmets will be present both at the booth of its French sales partner UNITIVE (Hall 6 Stand K48), a subsidiary of the Etienne Lacroix Group, and at the joint stand of Austrian Economic Chambers WKO (Hall 5A Stand G388).

On 23.04.2018 the state Interior Minister Hans-Joachim Grote (CDU) presented the new protective equipment for Schleswig-Holstein’s police in Kiel. In terror or amok situations, beat officers can now make use of new assault rifles, ballistic vests and helmets from ULBRICHTS Protection, the “HOPLIT” titanium-aramid (hybrid) model. This offers the best protection available on the market against bullet shots. In total, the state government has procured 1700 helmets. Two helmets are available in every patrol vehicle.

On 18th and 19th April 2018, ULBRICHTS demonstrated its portfolio on eRIC, International Expo Disaster Control, Incident Management & Crisis Management, in Enschede (Netherlands). The venue is the trade fair for industrial, public and private services and professionals in the field of safety addressing 21st century’s threat scenarios and increased security requirements, e.g. through international terrorism. Together with our Dutch partner, we not only showcased our ballistic titanium helmets but also had many very high-quality discussions. ULRBICHTS Protection’s message got through: We offer the best protection for all those who head for our safety is our goal.

For the “Lange Nacht der Forschung” (Long Night of Research) on 13.04.2018, ULBRICHTS was able to greet more than 300 visitors on the company site in Kaufing near Schwanenstadt, where high-tech products are manufactured in two divisions in historical factory buildings: ULBRICHTS Automotive produces lettering and emblems for international automobile manufacturers, ULBRICHTS Protection manufactures ballistic helmets for the police and special forces. The regional broadcaster BTV was present and summarised some impressions from the event in a brief contribution.

In an emergency, e.g. for amok or terror situations, officers on the beat cannot wait for the Special Deployment Commando (SEK). New deployment concepts prescribe immediate intervention. This requires improved protective equipment. The effective titanium head protection is made by ULBRICHTS Protection. The broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk has accompanied a deployment training session of the Bavarian police force – a detailed documentation of the new safety conditions including many images of our helmets!

The team from ULBRICHTS Protection attended the Enforce Tac trade fair this week. Apart from the state interior ministers Klaus Bouillon (CDU), Saarland, and Georg Maier (SPD), Thüringen, many police staff, buyers and manufacturers sought information about our titanium helmets. ULBRICHTS Protection is presenting the first effective VPAM-6 head protection worldwide at the 10th GPEC General Police Equipment Exhibition & Conference in Frankfurt am Main from 20.02.2018 until 22.02.2018. This new protection level is achieved by combining a Titanium helmet (VPAM 3 or VPAM 4+) with a forehead shield. The shield strengthens the helmet shell in the especially vulnerable frontal head area. This system is capable of stopping a projectile from a Kalashnikov and minimising projectile energy so that the helmet wearer is likely to survive the attack.

ULBRICHTS Protection put forward a further improvement of the ballistic helmet for police at the European Police Congress in Berlin. “VPAM-3 was yesterday”, said Georg Scharpenack during his presentation on 07.02.2018 before a specialist public. A ballistic protection of the level VPAM-3 according to the directive HVN 2009 is increasingly being superseded by the level “VPAM 4+”. “Soon we will raise the available protection level even further”, Georg Scharpenack announced.

Hessen’s Interior Minister Beuth has issued new protection packages to the police in Hessen. Part of the packages: ULBRICHTS titanium helmets. “Modern protective equipment and weapons are essential to survival for the women and men”, states the Interior Minister.

ULBRICHTS Protection presents an innovation in the field of police helmets: a titanium ballistic helmet for operational use/hundred-man squads called “OPTIO”. In addition to the usual protection against knocks, stabs and projectiles, the OPTIO also offers effective protection against shots from a handgun (VPAM 2) for the first time. The OPTIO is thus the first helmet of its kind because a 9 x 19 mm Parabellum round can shoot clean through the helmets currently available to officers.

In view of the new intensity of the threat posed by heavily armed extremists, the Hamburg police has supplemented its protective equipment. As part of the anti-terror package, the “first responders” receive automatic pistols and helmets made of titanium-aramid from ULBRICHTS Protection.

So that the state can protect its citizens better against terror, amok and serious crime, there are not so-called first responder forces: patrol officers with additional training and special equipment – including titanium helmets from ULBRICHTS Protection.

The Austrian police has opted for the innovative titanium concept from ULBRICHTS Protection in Schwanenstadt (Upper Austria). The specialised helmet manufacturer won a Europe-wide tender. Both the Austrian patrolman and the members of the COBRA elite unit now have the best ballistic head protection available.

As part of a major exercise in Vienna, ULBRICHTS Protection handed over new titanium helmets to the Austrian special forces COBRA as well as to patrol units. During the drill on the Danube, special forces from Germany, Hungary, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia were deployed. Krone.tv attended and summarised the day in the following contribution.

12 of the 16 German federal states have decided to procure ballistic protective helmets for patrolmen. About 90 percent of the helmets are made by the Austrian expert for ballistic titanium helmets ULBRICHTS Protection. State interior ministers and police chiefs have publicly presented ULBRICHTS titanium helmets as part of their protection concepts in recent weeks. Other federal states are currently examining the procurement of ballistic helmets for use on patrol.

A helmet from ULBRICHTS Protection saved the life of a police officer in Baden-Württemberg. On 30.07.2019, a shooting occurred in front of the Konstanz club “Grey”. The dent in the helmet reveals the force with which the missile fired into the helmet from an M-16 assault rifle.

To protect its police force better against terror and amok, the free state has invested in the range of equipment in beat patrol. The protective sets consist of new protective vests and ballistic titanium helmets from ULBRICHTS Protection.

The Interior Minister Caffier has handed over new equipment to the state police, including titanium helmets from ULBRICHTS Protection. Terror, amok and violent crime necessitated improved equipment and required new standards for the passive protection of the officers, according to the minister.

The state has ordered 1700 titanium hybrid helmets from ULBRICHTS Protection. Two helmets will be to hand in future in each patrol vehicle. The Minister-President Albig: “The protection of the police is a top priority.”

The titanium-aramid helmets (hybrid) of the “HOPLIT” model with a test level of “VPAM 4+” currently offer the best protection available on the market against bullet shots. They are fitted with modular visors as well as removable neck protection. Until the end of 2017, ULBRICHTS Protection is delivering a total of 2270 helmets to the Thuringian police.

ULBRICHTS Protection supplies ballistic titanium helmets to the police of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. After careful market research, the decision was made for a helmet made of titanium, which was developed and manufactured by the Austrian specialist ULBRICHTS Protection.

So that beat officers can intervene immediately in case of emergency, the state has improved the protective equipment of the regular forces. In future, all patrol cars will have two vests with a higher protection class and two titanium helmets from ULBRICHTS Protection on board.

ULBRICHTS Protection has delivered a total of 850 titanium helmets to the Hessian police. The HOPLIT C ballistic protective helmets have the same construction as the ZENTURIO TSO S, are certified in accordance with VPAM 3 or VPAM 4, and are part of the anti-terrorist equipment presented by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior in Wiesbaden on 22.04.2016.

Baden-Württemberg’s beat officers have already been using ballistic helmets from ULBRICHTS Protection since 2011. Two titanium helmets are available in every patrol vehicle. In view of the threat of international terror, the state has added new protection vests and weapons to their equipment.
